Really though?

We’ll take these reports with a pinch of salt but the latest royal rumour doing the rounds is that Meghan Markle had to undergo tea drinking lessons before meeting the Queen.

A biography of the former Suits actress has been released and it details how Meghan visited Rose Tree Cottage in Pasadena, California, where she indulged in afternoon tea and learned the etiquette that’s involved when taking tea at the royal household.

Us Weekly shares how biographer Andrew Morton shared the various points Meghan was given, including advice to crook one’s finger when holding a cup and saucer.

In the couple’s first joint TV interview, they spoke of how well Meghan’s first meeting went so it’s clear the lessons paid off.

Harry shared how Meghan charmed everyone, even the Queen’s beloved Corgi pets, so much so that they lay contentedly at her feet.

The biographer who penned Meghan: A Hollywood Princess also shares how Meghan met Prince Harry at Soho House in London back in June 2016.

They went on a number of dates before the future royal had to fly home to Toronto and they went on safari together in Botswana the following month.
