‘She was the beating heart of our family, the loving, successful, intelligent daughter’

The family of Tom Mann‘s late fiancee have spoken out about her death, saying she “put everybody before herself” and was “loved by everyone.”

Mann, a former X Factor contestant and Stereo Kicks member, announced this week that Dani Hampson passed away in the early hours of June 18, just hours before the pair were set to marry.

After a series of touching statements from celebrities, including Lewis Capaldi, Hampson’s father Martin wrote: “She was the beating heart of our family, the loving, successful, intelligent daughter who always put everybody before herself. And as a result, she was loved by everyone.”

“Our family is devastated and utterly heartbroken. People say the hurt will ease in time, but as it stands we are broken,” he added. “Danielle, we will love you forever.”

Dani’s brother, Andrew Hampson, shared a black and white image on his Instagram alongside a lengthy statement about his “beautiful” sister.

He wrote: “For as long as I can remember Danielle has been my best friend. I took great pleasure in taking the mick out of her at every opportunity and she reciprocated, but the love we had for each other was immeasurable.

“When people who didn’t know us asked if we got on well I would say perfectly, we never argued, just the very occasional brother and sister tiff.”

Andrew went on to say how proud Dani made him and vowed to ensure “the world will know just what an extraordinary human being Bowie’s mum was”.

His partner, Helena Smith, also paid tribute to Dani and revealed on Instagram that her, “beautiful, big sister in law” had made plans for the wedding to incorporate her eighteenth birthday.

“I looked up to you since the moment I met you Danielle, the big sister I never had and never knew I needed, a best friend,” she wrote. “You taught me so much and I promise to use what I’ve learnt from you throughout the rest of my life, and to be there for Bowie always, I’m so happy I get to be his Auntie.”
