The X Factor creator offered his ‘deepest condolences’

Simon Cowell has said he cannot “imagine the heartbreak” Tom Mann is going through after his wife-to-be died on their wedding day and plans to reach out to the former X Factor contestant.

Mann, who rose to fame in boy band Stereo Kicks, announced on Tuesday that his partner, Danielle Hampson, had died on June 18 “on what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives”.

Cowell, who created X Factor, told TMZ that he plans to reach out to 28-year-old Mann, who appeared on the show in 2014.

“As a father myself, I cannot simply imagine the heartbreak Tom and his family are going through and I will be personally reaching out to him,” he said.

“From my family to his, we extend our deepest condolences and all of our love during this tragic time.”

Hampson’s cause of death has not yet been publicly announced.

In announcing Hampson’s passing, Mann shared a picture of her and their child on Instagram, describing her as having the “most beautiful soul”.

“I feel like I have cried an ocean,” he said of his grief.

The caption to his post reads: “ I can’t believe I am writing these words but my darling Dani-my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life, passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, 18th June.

“On what was supposed to be the happiest days of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak.”

Mann went on to say the pair “never made it to the altar; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know that you are my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle”, in a post that broke hearts across Britain.

Of his son, Mann wrote: “ I will not be a mark on the parent that you had already become but I promise I will do everything to raise Bowie just the way you always wanted. I promise you he will know how amazing his mum was.”
