Boris and Carrie are said to be looking for a new home in Herne Hill

Boris and Carrie Johnson are selling their £1.6 million house in south London as the couple looks to buy a new home as the prime minister prepares to leave office.

If a buyer offers the asking price on the home in Camberwell, listed on Rightmove and Davis & Gibbs, the couple will have made £400,000 off the four-bedroom they purchased for £1.2m in 2019, Metro reports.

Despite its value and desirable location, the pair are said to have spent virtually no time there as they bought it shortly before Johnson became PM and moved into Downing Street. However, Carrie is said to have been spotted there more recently along with gardeners clearing the back of the house and planting new trees out front.

As the two will soon leave No.10, not to mention the not long refurbished No.11 Downing Street flat as well – you know, the one they spent £200k on – they are on the hunt for a new home.

Apparently, they’re not looking too far away, with sources telling the Mail, the couple is looking for a new home in Herne Hill.

The home is said to boast 2,100sq ft, an “abundance of character” and be situated in a highly “sought-after” location.
