Martin, who is also a barber by trade, went to get his hair cut by his colleague Joel, as hair loss is a common side effect of his cancer treatment, chemotherapy. The TikTok user decided to film the moment his hair was shaved off at the barbers in Alicante in Southeastern Spain, when his colleague took him by surprise and started to shave his own head.

Martin became visibly emotional during Joel's act of kindness, bowing his head and wiping away his tears. Martin shared the video on social media, and it was not long until the clip went viral. On TikTok, the video has received more than 2.3 million likes and over 27,000 comments. He then took to Instagram to explain what happened during the clip. He wrote: "'You are not alone' - those were the words of my great friend and co-worker immediately after he shaved his head, telling me that until my hair grew back, he was going to continue shaving with me.
