The deal is pretty incredible

There are plenty of ways for PC gamers to get free or cheap games.

You can try the regular Steam sales to add more games to your library or use CDKeys to get cheap games at bargain prices. That includes multi-award winning Hogwarts Legacy for just £9.99, its cheapest price ever.

There is also the option to play free games via your Amazon Prime subscription via the Amazon Gaming portal and you can try that free using a Prime free trial.

But there is a way to get even more for just £8.99 with up to £200 of premium games up for grabs.

Humble is an ultra flexible subscription service allowing gamers to cancel their subscription whenever they like or skip a month if they do not like the games on offer. For £8.99 gamers get access to a collection of games each month and they can keep them forever.

The latest selection includes dark fantasy city builder Against the Storm, which usually costs £24.99 but is completely free with a subscription.

Launched in 2023, the roguelike city builder has become a cult hit with Eurogamer awarding it five stars. The review says: “Against the Storm is a rare gem of a city builder that thrives on chaos but exists in perfect balance, evolving with you as you learn and adapt.”

The game has a clever mechanic where the enemy is not a rival faction but the weather itself as a ‘death rain’ threatens to destroy your society.

Gamers can also get turn-based strategy game Jagged Alliance 3, brutal platformer Blasphemous 2. This Metroidvania, story-rich Fort Solis and cosy exploration game Dordogne as part of the subscription, which is due to update again in February.
