Jesse Lingard watched England in a beer garden then held DJ session

Doesn’t look like he’s bitter about missing out on the squad.

Jesse Lingard looks like he’s determined to enjoy his summer just like the rest of us, as he went to a bar to watch the England vs Croatia match on Sunday, before even doing a bit of DJing afterwards.

The midfielder, who missed out on making Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man squad for the European Championships, shared a picture of himself ready to watch the game in his local. He’s even wearing an England shirt with Rice on the back, who started the game against Croatia and was of course a team-mate of Lingard’s whilst JLingz was on loan at West Ham for the second half of last season.

As for the parrot on the shoulder, I have no idea what that’s all about.

After watching the Three Lions beat Croatia 1-0, Lingard then joined in the celebrations with fellow fans, and even did some DJing for the jubilant crowd at the pub. Safe to say, it looked like he was enjoying himself just as much as they were.

Lingard will surely be watching once again on Friday when England take on their old rivals Scotland at Wembley in their second group game, before concluding their group fixtures against the Czech Republic on 22 June.

Despite being included in the provisional 33-man squad for the tournament and enjoying a rich vein of form throughout his loan spell at West Ham, Lingard missed out on making the final squad for the tournament.

It’s nice to see that he looks set to enjoy the summer as a fan like the rest of us, simply cheering on Southgate’s men and desperate for them to do well.
