Just look what it means to him

Everton’s Richarlison has been included in Brazil’s squad for this summer’s Copa America. And this video shows just how much it means to him.

Video posted on Gazeta Online shows the striker sitting at his grandparent’s home, filled with friends and relatives.

As his name is read out on TV, he gets up and screams with delight – as does everyone around him.

“The excitement was very great,” Richarlison told Gazeta. “When we talk about Brazil, we are talking about the place where millions of players would like to go. I am very privileged. Today, I am the happiest guy in the world!”

“I was very nervous, I even looked to the side when it reached the 22nd and I had not been called. Even so, I have always dreamed of this moment. Now it is time to remain focused, to arrive well in the Selecao and to represent my state and my city.”

Richarlison made his debut for the Brazilian national side in September 2018, coming on as a sub in a friendly against the USA. He has since made seven more appearances, and scored three goals.

2019 Copa América starts on June 14th, and takes place in Brazil.
