Corden has already lost a stone in the first five weeks of 2021

Since the beginning of the year, James Corden has been on a diet - and he claims he wants to get ripped like The Rock. Since leaving the WWE to embark on a Hollywood career, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has become one of the most popular actors in the world. In 2013, he was named by Forbes as the highest-grossing actor in the world, and has been named the highest paid actor in the world for the past two years. However, The Rock is a fitness fanatic, first and foremost. His Instagram page is awash with motivational snippets, fitness tips and workout footage filmed from inside the Iron Paradise - The Rock's hugely-impressive portable home gym. https://www.instagram.com/p/CK-6P4OFP7u/ It appears his work has rubbed off on The Late Late Show host, ex-Gavin and Stacey star James Corden. Corden, 42, recently told Oprah Winfrey during an online WW (formerly Weight Watchers) event that he wants to embark on a diet, and takes inspiration from The Rock in his pursuit of fitness. "I want to change the way that I live," Corden said. "I want to be better for my children and for my family. I don't want to wake up tired, or feel embarrassed when I'm chasing my son on the soccer field and out of breath after three minutes." "The weight is not the issue, it's the wellness of it I am ready to tackle. I'm going to take this year and work towards getting healthy. "If 2020 taught us anything it was that taking care of yourself has to be a priority." Corden jokingly told Winfrey of his ambition to emulate The Most Electrifying `Man in Sport Entertainment. "In a year's time we are all going to be so ripped," he said. "It will be crazy. I will be like The Rock."
