Durex recall two types of condoms over fears that they may ‘burst’

Durex have issued the warning

Batches of Durex condoms have been recalled due to fears that they may burst as they approach the end of their shelf life.

The defective products are “Durex Real Feel – Latex-Free” and “Durex Latex Free Polyisoprene” condoms and the relevant details are mentioned below.

The affected batch numbers are as follows: Durex Latex Free 12-Pack -Sku number 3014272: Batch numbers 1000444367 – expiry February 2021 and 1000433145 expiry January – 2021.

As for the other brand, it’s Durex Real Feel 12-Pack: Sku number 3014277 –  Batch numbers 1000419930 January 2021, 1000444367 February 2021 and 1000416206 December 2020.

 

Durex released a statement confirming that the issue affected a “limited number of condoms made earlier this year” but there is “no immediate safety concern for consumers and only a limited number of batches are affected.”
