Summer is almost upon us

I don’t know whether you’d noticed, but that big yellow thing in the sky has been paying us more regular visits in recent weeks. The British people are making the most of opportunities to spend entire days in a park soaking up the rays with a cooler full of refreshing cans. The big coats have gone back in the cupboard. It’s almost summer, baby.

As we transition from spring to summer, your wardrobe must do the same. We’ve taken a look at some of the emerging trends to help you dress to impress during the warm weather this year.

Pastel colours

Out with the greys, in with the pink. As the weather gets more vibrant, so should your colour palette. Pastel colours and natural fabrics are the perfect way to add a splash of excitement to your line for the upcoming months.

Prints and stripes

If subtlety isn’t your thing, if you prefer to draw eyes rather than blend in, there are few better ways to do so than wearing an eye-catching print or some bold stripes. That doesn’t mean an ‘iPood’ t-shirt, leave them in 2005. I mean striking patterns, stunning photographic prints and retro football shirts.

1990s Miami

This sort of style is probably more suited to music festivals than a meal out with the in-laws, but it certainly deserves a place in your summer selection. If bold pattern clashes, gold jewellery and florescent lighting get your style senses tingling, rock it with pride this summer.

Tie dye

There’s nothing wrong with trying to relive times gone by vicariously through your clothes. If you’re a 90s baby who missed out on that golden era of fashion, now’s the time to recapture it. Cop a few tie dye t-shirts, bucket hands and round sunglasses, and imagine it’s 1996 while England bring the Nations League home.

Tech-pac

For those who wants to stay ahead of the curve, ‘tech-pac’ is the new wave. We can’t turn you into Ironman but if you lead a hectic lifestyle and want to create the perfect fusion of smart clothing with athletic gear, take inspiration from some of these beauties.
