Trisha Paytas was earlier forced to deny the child would be the reincarnation of the Queen
A famous YouTuber has been slammed as “cruel and selfish” after revealing the name of their daughter.
Trisha Paytas, who oddly was earlier forced to deny speculation that their then-unborn daughter would be the reincarnation of Queen Elizabeth II, announced the name on social media earlier this month.
And the choice, wasn’t to everyone’s liking.
Alongside a series of pictures of themselves with the newborn, Paytas, who uses she/they pronouns, wrote: “She has arrived. Malibu Barbie Paytas-Hacmon born 09.14.22 at 8.9 lbs and 21 1/2.”
The 34-year-old’s partner, Moses Hacmon, was also pictured. The pair recently got engaged while dressed as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Paytas, who is also a singer, has over 5 million YouTube subscribers and 1 billion lifetime views.
Rather than congratulate the new mum, who previously feared they would be unable to have children, a lot of people instead focussed on the baby’s name.
Referring to the rumours that the child was the reincarnation of the Queen, who passed away on 8 September aged 96, one joked with a clip from The Addams Family Values: “Queen Elizabeth learning her new name.”

While many many fun of the not so royal connection, others turned their insults to the Barbie connection – the fact Paytas’ child is named after one of Barbie’s most popular incarnations.
One wrote: “Naming your child after a toy really says something about how serious you’re probably going to take parenthood.”
Another added: “I’m sorry but naming your child Malibu Barbie is cruel.”
And a third opined: “Malibu Barbie is cruel and selfish. It is an ugly [name] played by the poor baby’s parents. It is NOT a cute name.”
Given the couple live in California, not everyone had a problem with the choice of name.
One wrote: “Y’all Malibu is a cute name and y’all forgetting she lives in California like pls the kids aren’t gonna bully her cause another kid is gonna be named Sparrow or Leaf or Birch LIKE PLSSSS [sic].”

Paytas’ parenting journey has been controversial since the start, with critics previously suggesting she shouldn’t be allowed to have children.
She has previously spoken about her mental health and concerns she isn’t stable enough to be a mother.
She said on TikTok: “I always say actions speak louder than words so everyone’s like, ‘Oh she has a breakdown every single day.’
“It’s like I haven’t in a very long time. I’ve disengaged from drama for almost a year. But more importantly my sobriety. I’ve been sober since December 2020. I’ve been in active treatment since 2021 and it’s working.
“To sit there and criticise someone else’s reproductive choices just feels ick to me. I’ve prayed for this for so long and God has finally blessed me.”
