Peter Dinklage says what we’re all thinking about the Winterfell crypt scene

He drinks and he knows things.

If you haven’t seen the most recent Game of Thrones episode, consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.

When it comes to killing the Night King, the Jon/Dany alliance can say that the ends justified the means.

However, try telling that to the people that died and the countless others that had the living shit scared out of them when the dead rose from their graves in the Winterfell crypts.

Despite seeing the Night King’s terrifying power to resurrect the dead at Hardhome, Jon Snow seemed more than happy to let the women and children of Winterfell take solace in the crypts.

He just seemed to forget that they’re brimming with the dead corpses of ancient Starks that could be used by the Night King in his campaign to eradicate mankind.

To be fair, we’ll cut Jon Snow some slack. Prior to the Battle of Winterfell beginning, the former King in the North just learned that he’s 1) A Targaryen, 2) the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, 3) shifting his aunt.

That’s enough information to cause any person to have a poor sense of judgement.

Well, despite this horrific turn of events, Tyrion, Sansa, Varys, Missandei, and Gilly all survived the crypts but Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) had some choice words to say about this massively-flawed tactic.

“Down in the crypt becomes a complete horror movie. It’s terrifying down there, like, we’re in a crypt. Nobody thought of that! He’s (Night King) bringing all the dead people back to life and they’ve put the women and children in a crypt with all the dead people! So blaaaah! Tyrion is smart but I guess he’s not that smart!” said Dinklage.

Well, the important thing is that unlike so many others, Tyrion survived. He may also have reignited a few romantic flames with Sansa.

Only in Game of Thrones could you potentially find romance in a crypt while the dead are attacking!
