The Room’s Tommy Wiseau tells Vince McMahon he wants to host Wrestlemania

“Oh, hi marks”

Tommy Wiseau, the auteur behind cult masterpiece The Room, has revealed his hopes to join the likes of Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian and appear at Wrestlemania.

The hottest feud in WWE at the moment is between Irish superstar Becky Lynch and former-UFC-star-and-now-Raw-Womans-Champ Ronda Rousey.

As well as getting into various altercations on television, the pair have taken their beef to social media, bouncing vicious tweets between them.

On Friday, Becky sent Rousey a photoshopped image from The Disaster Artist, the James Franco-directed film about the making of The Room. Rousey’s face was plastered over Franco’s, in a reference to the former UFC champion’s perceived bad promo skills.

Never one to let a self-promotion opportunity slip past his grasp, Tommy Wiseau jumped on the tweet, and quickly announced that he would be happy to offer his services as ring announcer at Wrestlemania.

Vince McMahon has yet to respond to Wiseau’s request.

Currently, the officially announced Wrestlemania title match is Ronda Rousey versus Charlotte Flair, but it is widely predicted that Becky Lynch will be inserted to make it a Triple Threat contest.

Celebrities have been a staple of WWE’s biggest yearly show since it’s inception. The first Wrestlemania featured Mr T teaming with Hulk Hogan to take on Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff, withMuhammad Ali as referee and Liberace as timekeeper.

The most famous celebrity to appear at Wrestlemania was, of course, Donald Trump, who took part in the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ at Wrestlemania 23.

In 1998, Mike Tyson memorably got involved in the title match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels, and a decade later, Floyd Mayweather beat The Big Show in a no disqualification match.

Others who have appeared include Kim Kardashian, Mickey Rourke, Snoop Dogg and Shaquille O’Neal.

Tommy Wiseau recently announced he was making a shark movie called Big Shark.
