This Game of Thrones scene has people believing a long-held theory about the show’s finale

In terms of Game of Thrones history, the Citadel at Oldtown is a relatively new location for audiences to discover and observe. This being said, we've seen one aspect of the Citadel in every single episode because the rotating sun chandeliers in the library are actually featured in the opening credits of every episode. See. This being said, things look like they're turning around for Jon Snow's best friend. In the most recent episode, you might recall the scene where Archmaester Ebrose tells Sam that he is writing a book called 'A Chronicle of the Wars Following the Death of King Robert the First', but after seeing Sam's expression, he takes umbrage with the fact that his young protege dislikes the title. In Sam's opinion, he would himself name it "... something a bit more poetic." Game of Thrones fans have long speculated that George R.R. Martin might finish the series in the same way that J.R.R. Tolkien did -  Bilbo/Frodo Baggins writing the whole story down before handing the Red Book of Westmarch over to Sam as he headed into the Undying Lands. As we know, the Maesters are only interested in researching, learning and documenting everything that's going on in the Seven Kingdoms. They're ever present, observant and instrumental in documenting the whole narrative. If this is true, Sam could be the man responsible for telling one of the greatest stories ever.
