There’s a strong reaction to the new trailer for the Great British Bake Off

Bake Off fans have expressed their opinions.

With Noel Fielding being one of the hosts in the new version of the Great British Bake Off, we couldn’t help but get a strong Mighty Boosh vibe off the first trailer to Channel 4’s take on The Great British Bake Off.

Granted, we’re not being told the strange tale of the crack fox, or treated to any crimping, but there’s definitely a surreal and musical vibe to the first trailer.

With news that the baking puns, naughty innuendo and double-entendres are being toned down, we’re very curious to see what Noel Fielding, Prue Leith, Sandi Toksvig and Paul Hollywood can cook up together.

We were previously told that  Fielding’s brand of “surreal” humour would be prevalent right from the beginning, and that’s clear in the trailer.

Of course, the proof is always in the tasting but consider this teaser to be a small hors d’oeuvre.

We’re curious what the main course will be like when it airs on Channel 4.

Here’s what some Twitter users made of their first taste of the new Great British Bake Off.

When it comes to the trailer,  some people are seeing things a little bit more ‘sunny side up’
