The latest Game of Thrones episode has a massive hidden clue about this scene

Hardly anyone spotted it.

Who runs Westeros? Girls! Who runs Westeros ? Girls! Ok, Beyonce isn't exactly sitting on the Iron Throne, but there's no denying that it's currently the ladies who hold the upper hand in the Game of Thrones power stakes. Just look at things objectively. Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne, Daenerys has Dragonstone, an army and three dragons, Olenna Tyrell rules Highgarden, Ellaria Sand has dominated Dorne, Lyanna Mormont is arguably the best ruler in the realm and Yara Greyjoy is the rightful heir to the Iron Islands. As for Sansa, well, we'll she has quickly developed into one of the most fascinating characters in the show. Aside from this, we also have Arya wiping out entire Houses and Brienne kicking ass. Plenty of men are falling to their knees in an act of subservience to these ladies, but one man has been doing that for years, poor Jorah Mormont. The last time we saw Jorah the explorer, he was sent away by Dany to go and find a cure for the greyscale that's slowly killing him. That condition has since gotten worse. If you were wondering why Jorah's path has crossed with Sam's at Oldtown, a Reddit user by the name of Beastmodekait has a very interesting theory.  Take a look at this screengrab of the book that Sam was reading. As you can see, there's a passage that discusses the medicinal qualities that ingesting dragon glass can have on someone that's ill. The relevant text is all highlighted in red. If you're doubting this theory then know this, it has already been proven. Remember Benjen Stark? He was Jon's uncle in the Night's Watch that vanished early on, only to dramatically reappear to help Bran and Meera in their bid to reach The Wall. You might recall that The Children of the Forest stopped him from turning into a fully-fledged wight by stabbing him with dragonglass in the heart, the same method they used to create the White Walkers. Right, Game of Thrones fans. Who else in the show has previously contracted greyscale? Yep, you guessed right. Princess Shireen, and she managed to live a relatively healthy life until her father burned her at the stake. Care to guess where Princess Shireen lived for the majority of her life? Dragonstone. The same place that has a mountain of dragon glass hidden beneath the surface. Granted, Stannis did say that he "called in every Maester on this side of the world, every healer, every apothecary, they stopped the disease and saved your (Shireen's) life," but what if these Maesters actually had nothing to do with Shireen's improvement? The fact that she was exposed to dragon glass on a continuous basis might have been enough to keep her alive. You know, until this happened. We reckon that there's still hope for Jorah yet.
