The Game of Thrones reunion we all wanted to see has actually happened

Paul Moore

You would need to be colder than a White Walker not to love this.

With Season 7 starting at a frantic pace, Game of Thrones has already delivered so much as the great war edges ever closer.

At this moment, we’re urged to issue the standard spoiler alert warning.

In just two episodes, we’ve already seen Arya’s reunion with Nymeria/Hot Pie, The Hound travelling with Beric Dondarrion and Euron’s fatal encounter with Yara/Theon. These meetings will pale in comparison though to what’s in store as the King in the North finally meets the Mother of Dragons.

Oh yes, it’s a monumental week in Game of Thrones history, but what encounter could even come close to topping a scene where Jon Snow and Daenerys Targeryn are in the same room?

Well, how about a reunion between Bran and Hodor?

HOLD THE DOOR! HOLD THE DOOR! HO DA DOR! HODOR!

Every single death of a hero in Game of Thrones is heart-wrenching, but Hodor’s sacrifice to save Bran from certain death at the hands of the White Walkers and their army of wights was a gut punch unlike any other.

We all miss Hodor, none more so than Isaac Hempstead Wright.

“I’ve grown up next to Kristian Nairn — who’s the actor who played Hodor — for the past six years. So to suddenly not have that literally big presence on set has been really sad. I miss my big, friendly giant,” he told Conan O’Brien during a special episode.

Bran might be the three-eyed-raven, but he didn’t see what was about to happen next.

This will make every Game of thrones fan emotional.
