The Game of Thrones reunion that everyone wants to see might very well happen

Paul Moore

This needs to happen.

Hurray! We don’t have to start this article with the dreaded spoiler alert warning because we’re assuming that everyone has seen the recent most recent episode, Eastwatch. No? Seven Hells! Spoiler alert.

In the history of Game of Thrones, we’ve been treated to some brilliant double acts.

For example, Arya learned so much about the art of killing from The Hound that it’s genuinely scary. Jon Snow and Ygritte fell in love beyond the Wall when they were paired together while Jaime Lannister went from being a despised Kingslayer into a conflicted hero after spending time with Brienne.

This being said, in the grand pantheon of the double acts that have traveled across the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, Tyrion and Bronn are the bromance to end all bromances.

When they first met, Tyrion was a sharp-tongued drunk that was more interested in whoring, drinking and winning every argument with his famous mix of intelligence and wit.

In Bronn, he found the perfect bodyguard, wingman and travel buddy because both men played off each other so well. Bronn was shameless about his mercenary roots and Tyrion was happy to pay for his protection.

As they spent time together at bars, brothels and battles, their friendship only got funnier. Hell, Bronn even stood for Tyrion during his trial by combat at the Eyrie and they even came across a ‘demon monkey.’

In the most recent episode, the Lannister brothers were finally reunited in the crypts at King’s Landing, but Bronn (Jerome Flynn) told The Hollywood Reporter that a reunion between his character and Tyrion was left out…for now.

“Originally, I heard there was going to be a scene. They decided not to go for it. There’s something, I hope, that’s still to come, where Bronn and Tyrion might have a little bit of time for an exchange together and shoot the breeze, as it were. Hopefully there will be some old Bronn and Tyrion dynamics coming up again.”

If a Bronn and Tyrion reunion can produce a line that’s as good as this about Joffrey then we’re 100% in favour of it.

This needs to happen.
