The Game of Thrones credits have a very secret but massively important detail

Night gathers, and now my Game of Thrones watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no phone calls from my wife, visit no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory as it airs. I shall live and die on my couch.

That’s pretty much the mantra that every single Game of Thrones fan lives by when the show is on TV, and with Season 7 starting off at such a frantic pace, we’re delighted to see that winter is finally here.

Oh yes! The Long Night is coming and with that comes the army of the dead.

As we saw in the stunning Hardhome episode, the Night King and his army of wights and White Walkers cannot cross the sea.

If they are to invade the Seven Kingdoms, they’ll need to find a way to bypass The Wall and the magical defenses that Bran the Builder and the Children of the Forrest imbued it with.

Granted, there’s the popular theory that the Night King’s ‘mark’ on Bran could prove to be fatal – people reckon that Bran’s decision to cross The Wall’s could have consequences – but another theory could be far more plausible.

Cast your mind back to the season opener as The Hound stares into the fire and makes his icy-prediction.

“Ice. A wall of ice. The Wall. It’s where the Wall meets the sea. There’s a castle there. There’s a mountain. Looks like an arrowhead. The dead are marching past. Thousands of them,” he said.

In fact, HBO even said that additional lines of dialogue was were cut from this particular scene . The line “It’s where the Wall meets the Sea. The waves are frozen. There’s a castle there,” was left out.

If you take a look at the Season 7 credits below, you’ll notice that the water near Eastwatch-by-the-Sea is completely frozen over.

Compare this  with the same credit sequence from earlier seasons.

Prepare to tremble because it appears that The Night King now has a route past The Wall.

Jon Snow better hurry up with that dragon glass because he’s going to need every bit of it.
