The BBC received complaints after a controversial moment on Strictly Come Dancing

The BBC are deciding if this “behaviour was acceptable.”

A recent episode of Strictly Come Dancing where Bruno Tonioli appears to ‘grope’ Shirley Ballas’ chest is being investigated by the BBC.

While judging Alexandra Burke’s dance in the very first episode of the latest season, Tonioli ran his hand across Ballas’ breasts and said ‘touchy, feely, so good’.

Bruno is well-known for his expressive arm movements and inability to sit still whilst giving his opinion on the performances.

Ballas was laughing after this ‘groping’ gesture but Tess Daly did have to remind the Italian that the show was being watched by a live audience.

Recent reports have said that 20 people have complained about it – a small number given the fact that the show 10.1 million viewers – but the BBC are “looking into” them.

‘The BBC has now received formal complaints and will be officially looking into them to decide whether Bruno’s behaviour was acceptable,” a source said.

On a similar note, Ofcom recently announced that a dress worn by Amanda Holden was the most complained about moment in 2017 so far.
