Jamie-Lynn Spears has quit I’m a Celebrity

Her exit will air tonight on ITV

A spokesperson for the ITV programme confirmed that she had quit the show on "medical grounds".

It added: "She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities."

She becomes the second celebrity to quit the show after food critic Grace Dent was also forced to leave on medical grounds.

The youngster sister of Britney Spears was one of the original campmates at the start of the 23rd series and was seen struggling with the challenge within days of arriving in camp.

On several occasions the 32-year-old broke down in tears, confessing to her campmates that she was missing home.

During Tuesday night's episode viewers saw Jamie Lynn burst into tears over a piece of chocolate.

After failing to win their luxury items the camp were able to win some chocolate, which Fred Sirieix served them all in his apron.
