Netflix have just added a star-studded series based on the Guy Ritchie cult classic Snatch.'
17 years after Ritchie's classic featuring Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, Stephen Graham, Dennis Farina and Benicio del Toro, a spin-off show was made lasting two seasons.
The series, also titled 'Snatch', starred Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, Luke Pasqualino, Lucien Laviscount, Phoebe Dynevor and Dougray Scott.
Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl also featured in the first season.
The original film was set in London's criminal underworld, with a stolen diamond being hunted by gangsters, amateur boxing promoters, amateur thieves and crooked bookies.
In the spin-off, our main characters are a collection of young scammers who get tangled up in organised crime after they end up with a truck loaded with stolen gold bullion.
The show was released in 2017 and ran for two seasons but received mixed reviews at the time.
However, audiences seemed to enjoy it more than critics as it currently has a 71% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
One critic wrote: "Guy Ritchie has nothing to do with the series, but showrunner Alex De Rakoff has generously adapted the director's kinky visual style and black humour... visually it's a blast."
Another said: "Snatch on Crackle pops. The new series, based on Guy Ritchie's 2000 movie, is a whole lot of fun, a stylish heist story with an irreverent sense of humour."
Since being added to Netflix, fans have flocked to the streaming service to watch it and it has risen into the list of the top 10 most-watched shows in Ireland and the UK on the site.
