What more can you ask for?

Sony has unveiled a remote control for the PlayStation 5 which will support YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify, with each of the apps set to launch on the console on day one.

Apple TV will also be available for the first time on the PlayStation 5, with Twitch integration also available.

The UI for the new console was revealed last week, showing separate tabs for gaming and entertainment on the PS 5 home screen.

The reveal of the new remote means that we will no longer have to awkwardly toggle the left analogue stick to fast forward through videos, something all PS4 users are now painfully accustomed to.

Sony have yet to state whether the remote will come free with the console or whether it will be available to purchase separately when the PS5 launches on November 12 in the US and Japan, and worldwide a week later.

Two versions of the console will be available for purchase at launch – the regular console and the PS5 Digital Edition, which comes without a disc drive.
