Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones used to be in a punk rock band

He drinks and he sings things.

In Game of Thrones, Tyrion Lannister was once asked how we how like to die and his answer was pure rock and roll.

“In my own bed, at the age of 80 with a belly full of wine and a girl’s mouth around my cock” is how the youngest Lannsiter wants to meet his maker, but as we’ve seen throughout the seven seasons of Game of Thrones, Tyrion might actually live longer than Keith Richards.

Not only has he survived two trails by combat – thank you Bronn and Jaime – but the Hand of the Queen has also managed to evade the murderous and hateful intentions of Cersei, Tywin, Joffrey,  Yunkai’i slavers, the masters of Meereen and more.

In the show, the heavy metallers of Mastodon might be proud that they’re members of the Night King’s army, but Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) is playing by a whole different tune.

See, he even has previous when it comes to grabbing the microphone.

In an interview with Playboy, the star of Elf and X-Men: Days of Future Past revealed that he used to play in a punk rock band in New York.

In fact, he even has the injuries to prove it.

“I have a pretty big scar that runs from my neck to my eyebrow. I was in a band called Whizzy for many years in New York. We were this punk-funk-rap band. We played a show at CBGB, and I was jumping around onstage and got accidentally kneed in the temple. I was like Sid Vicious, just bleeding all over the stage. Blood was going everywhere. I just grabbed a dirty bar napkin and dabbed my head and went on with the show. We didn’t care much at the time about personal safety. We were smoking and drinking during our shows, and one time my bass player fell off the back of his amp because he passed out. It was one of those bands.”

We really hope that this injury wasn’t as bad as the one that Tyrion suffered during the Battle of the Blackwater.

This being said, we’d happily pay to see Dinklage play.
