Hulu and Disney+'s much-anticipated miniseries Pam & Tommy has finally dropped on streaming platforms and people are all saying the same thing: how crazy is it that it features a talking penis? We reported on comic actor Jason Mantzoukas being cast as Tommy Lee's penis back in January after a Variety article revealed scenes based on the Mötley Crüe drummer's own autobiography where he describes taking to his precious appendage. https://www.instagram.com/p/CY83ydUIdIO/ The scene itself is supposed to be about love - Lee's internal monologue in the throes of infatuation and trying to decide whether he loves Pam [Anderson] or not - but that didn't stop it catching people off guard when switching on the show this Wednesday. As you can see, the fact it was talking back to him was the biggest surprise to most: https://twitter.com/richhotuncle/status/1488941822323965952?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1488941822323965952%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ladbible.com%2Fentertainment%2Fpam-and-tommy-talking-penis-shocks-viewers-20220201 https://twitter.com/NATENEUTRALITY/status/1488922951286235137?s=20&t=E3UlDvUNjupJNQgFVSZbQw https://twitter.com/WallyandMario/status/1489041958874009601?s=20&t=wDFHYB676y7LZo3JXcU3Cg It's worth noting this isn't strictly a comedy series and it is on Disney+... you know, the historical family-centric brand and where all the Pixar movies are kept? People were also taken aback when they actually saw what looked to be a real penis on their screen. Again, this is the same platform which cancelled the proposed Lizzie McGuire reboot for not being "family-friendly" enough. Before you get carried away, it wasn't Stan's real little man but it still came as quite the surprise. https://twitter.com/JessMcCarthyx/status/1488759860967714819?s=20&t=E3UlDvUNjupJNQgFVSZbQw It won't surprise you to learn that the decision to include this bizarre little interlude from the 59-year-old's 2004 biography, Tommyland, faced a fair amount of pushback. Nevertheless, the series seems to have been received very positively so far, with plenty of four and even five star reviews to its name already, averaging 84 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes. While the audience score might be a bit low at the moment, one thing everyone can agree on is just how incredible the transformations of Stan and, most impressively, his co-star Lily James are - with both transforming themselves into the iconic 90s celebs. https://www.instagram.com/p/CZe1CqsrMqx/
