Paul Pogba had the best reaction after meeting a Game of Thrones star

Paul Moore

The Manchester United midfielder is a huge fan.

It appears that every single person in the Seven Kingdoms is absolutely obsessed with Game of Thrones as the show returned for its seventh season, and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is no different.

Jose Mourinho’s side are currently enjoying their pre-season tour in the US, but the world’s most expensive player is still making time to catch up on all things Westeros – in fact, the United squad even got to meet some of the stars recently.

In the last few days, Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), Varys (Conleth Hill), Gendry (Joe Dempsey) and Sam (John Bradley) have all met the United players.

Given that John Bradley is a massive United fan, he was happier than the rest of his co-stars after meeting the United players. Unbeknownst to him, the feeling was mutual for United’s record signing, Paul Pogba.

In fact, it appeared that the French midfielder was more excited to meet Sam. This account of Pogba absolutely geeking out after meeting the man who plays Samwell Tarly should make you laugh.

Bradley was a guest on The Rich Eisen Show and he said: “I was invited to watch the team train and I couldn’t believe it! Greatest moment of my life.” When asked about who the biggest Game of Thrones fan in the Manchester United dressing room is, here’s what he said.

“Paul Pogba is a huge fan. He seemingly can’t get enough of Game of Thrones and he saw me across the lobby of a hotel and absolutely freaked out! There’s something about us actors, because we’re stepping out a fantasy world and they’re (the public) suddenly seeing you in the real world, there’s something exciting about that, something they can’t compute.”

Bradley adds: “When you get your heroes like Paul Pogba that actually watch the show – and he gives you that rush of positive feedback and he’s hugging you and shaking your hand and saying that he can’t believe he’s met you – it’s moments like that when you’re thinking that the world has gone mad! The world has gone crazy!”
