Paul Gascoigne thinks he should replace Ant on Saturday Night Takeaway

Gazza has put his name forward with a hilarious tweet.

No Ant? No problem.

Paul Gascoigne is a man of many talents, but almost all of those talents revolve around having a magic wand for a right foot and an ever so slightly less magical wand instead of a left.

‘Gazza’, however, believes presenting a primetime Saturday entertainment show is something he has in his locker, and has very ambitiously thrown his faded blue-grey Euro 96 England cap into the ring to replace Ant McPartlin, after the popular presenter was arrested and charged with drink driving.

Would there be much difference between Gazza and Ant on the show? After all, Gascoigne is a Gateshead native, only a stone’s throw from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where Ant & Dec grew up.

If his photoshop skills are anything to go by, I think Gazza is the perfect man for the job. I mean, look at that fantastic attention to detail. The fireworks, the picture choice, the ‘Gazza’ logo haphazardly plastered across Ant’s name. Perfection.

Maybe he knows something we don’t though, as the tweet was eventually deleted by the former footballer. Just know he’s never been one to shy away from a new opportunity…
