Noel Gallagher adds fuel to rumours of Oasis reunion following Liam comments

'He should get his people to call my people'

Pretty much from the day the brothers went their separate ways in 2009, rumours have swirled around the possibility of them quite literally getting the band back to together.

The pair have never really given any suggestion that they've kissed and made up, with their only interactions seemingly through jibes and thinly-veiled comments on social media and in the press.

Liam in particular is vocal on Twitter, and under every one of his tweets you'll be able to find hundreds of people asking him if Oasis are ever getting back together, usually to little avail.

But last week, Liam got fans' hopes up once more.

In response to someone who asked if there is a "small percentage that Oasis get back together," Liam said: "It's happening."

Now, Noel has addressed his younger brother's comments, telling Liam to "call us."

He told French radio station, France Inter: "[Liam has] got my number. He's got my manager's number. Call us.''

In regards to the tweet he said: "There's something in the papers back in England today, you know... but he should get his people to call my people. They know who they are, they know where we are.

"Stop talking on the f***ing internet, and let’s see what you’ve got to say.”

When he was asked if it really would be that simple for a reunion to happen, he said: “You would think, right?

“You would think. He’s got my number, he’s got my manager’s number, call us.

"But you know what? He won’t call.”

When pressed on why this was the case, he added: "Well why indeed, why indeed."

Since Noel's comments, Liam has taken to Twitter to say his brother has "a lot of making up to do" to him and Oasis fans for the "damage" he did to the "band and brand."

Once again then, it's probably wise to not get your hopes up too much about an Oasis reunion any time soon.
