It’s official – by 2017, we’ll have the long-awaited Trainspotting sequel.
The film – directed by Danny Boyle – will start shooting in late spring 2016 with confirmation that screenwriter John Hodge is returning to the project making it a full house for the cult film.
Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Ewen Bremner and Robert Carlyle are already signed up and ready to go.
Deadline also reports that Sony’s TriStar Pictures has acquired worldwide rights to the film.
