"I like rusty spoons, I like to touch them"
The internet has contributed a lot of bad things to the world, but David Firth's
Salad Fingers makes it all worthwhile.
First debuting in 2004, the surreal Flash animation has delighted and confused thousands of fans across the world. Spreading first through Newgrounds (remember that?) and then YouTube, Salad Fingers himself was a strange, bald figure with David Firth's distinctive Yorkshire voice, who stumbled around a grim hellscape looking for rusty spoons.
The last episode was posted back in 2013. Firth has continued making videos since then, and also contributed to
Kuso, the wonderfully weird and demented directorial debut film from experimental music producer Flying Lotus.
Everything seemed quite on the Salad Fingers front, until last year, when Firth posted a short video to celebrate
hitting one million subscribers on YouTube.
And then, on January 23rd, he posted the trailer for an all-new episode, set to drop on January 30th.

Salad Fingers speaks to himself in the mirror, squishes some intestines in his hands, and sticks his finger in boiling water. Standard stuff really.
