Speaking to TMZ, Nelly said: "I sincerely apologise to the young lady and her family, this is unwanted publicity for her/them. This was an old video that was private and never meant to go public."
Nelly did not detail how the accident happened, but he certainly isn't the first person to post something accidentally or send a message to the wrong person.
What made this social media fumble even more awkward though is that Nelly criticised Madonna for posting what he deemed as a slightly too risqué photo to her social media - leaving only this comment.

People are being urged not to share Nelly's video as the woman being filmed clearly did not consent to the clip being posted.
