Married at First Sight UK is looking for singles to take part in new series

Married at First Sight UK is looking for brave singletons to take part in the upcoming series of the hit reality show.

The Channel 4 show has become one of the most popular, and most talked-about reality series on TV.

Based on a Dutch series, it sees single people marry a complete stranger that they have been matched up with by a group of experts – including a spiritualist, a relationship coach and a sociologist – using  “scientific matchmaking methods.”

Contestants have no contact with their match until their wedding day, with the show then following the newly weds for the next five weeks as they try to make the new relationship work.

Viewers get to see the highs and lows of the honeymoon, followed by the couples moving in together, making the show incredibly easy to binge as all the expected drama unfolds.

Since first airing in the UK in 2015, there have been seven series of Married at First Sight, and the show has become one of the has racked up over 50 million views on the streaming platform All4.

Producers are now on the lookout for contestants for the upcoming series, with applications open to both straight people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

So, if you feel like you’ve exhausted all other avenues in the search for love or you’re just fancy rolling the dice of life, your time is now.

Posting a casting call in their ‘Take Part’ section of the site, the advert reads: “We’re looking for brave singles for potential future series of Married at First Sight UK. In this unique relationship series about married life, a panel of matchmaking experts will be there to help you find the one.”

To apply to the show you must be over 18 years old, live in the UK and feel ready for marriage (obviously).
