‘He doesn’t have a day off either. He does 18 hours a day, every day’

The real star of Clarkson’s farm, Kaleb Cooper, has revealed that Jeremy Clarkson does his “f****** head in”.

As the second season of the Prime Video show became available on the streaming service on Friday, LadBible sat down with Clarkson’s right-hand man on Diddy Squat Farm to see what he really thought of his boss.

Most of the fun of the first season is in watching the former Top Gear host make a mess of farming, and Kaleb’s frustrations grow as he cleans up after him on the 1,000-acre property.

The 24-year-old told the publisher, while it is clear Clarkson knows how to be a TV star, he is clueless on the farm.

“The man’s amazing at making television,” he said.

“I look up to that – wouldn’t want to admit it to him, don’t tell him I said that.

“We get on well… but he does do my f***ing head in.”

Meanwhile, Clarkson admitted he lives in fear of Kaleb.

Asked why he thinks the show has proven to be so popular, the 62-year-old told LADbible: “Kaleb. I think he’s an absolute star.

“And what I love about Kaleb is he just has no airs and graces around me at all, it’s just, ‘You f***ing useless w***er.’

“That happens on a daily basis, and I live in constant fear of upsetting him – which I know I’ve done. I did something yesterday so bad, and I know he’s going to find out, and I couldn’t sleep last night thinking, ‘He is going to be livid with me.'”

While much of the show’s humour centres around the pair bickering and giving each other grief, it is clear they have plenty of respect for one another.

“He’s a wonderful, wonderful person,” Clarkson continued.

“The hardest working person I know.

“He doesn’t have a day off either. He does 18 hours a day, every day.”

Kaleb told LadBible he clocks 117-hour weeks, and “that’s an average week”.

“My one goal in life is to buy myself a farm – that’s what I want more than anything.”

He added: “I’m a firm believer, if you wake up in the morning and go, ‘Urghhh, got to work,’ you’re in the wrong job straightaway.

“I wake up and I go, ‘Right, dreams don’t work unless you do.’ You know, that’s one thing that’s in my head all the time.”

According to Prime, Clarkson fans, “can expect a deeper insight into another year on Diddly Squat Farm as Jeremy aims to expand his (very) limited agricultural knowledge under the watchful eye of his no-nonsense team – tractor driver Kaleb, stone wall favourite Gerald, advisor ‘Cheerful’ Charlie, Jeremy’s better-half-turned-farm-shop-keeper Lisa and many more.”

It continues: “Get ready for more farming faux pas, as we follow Jeremy & co on their agricultural adventures.”
