It seems the rumours are true – it is Michael Jackson’s music on Sonic 3

For a long time Michael Jackson writing the music for video game ‘Sonic 3’ has been believed to be legend.

But now it appears that in fact the King of Pop was responsible for the tunes on the legendary game.

It’s believed there are several similarities between its soundtrack and the singer’s songs, and it has now been claimed the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker was involved but didn’t want to be associated with it.

Jackson wasn’t pleased with the finished music after it was compressed to fit on the game.

Brad Buxer, one of the title’s composers, spoke to the Huffington Post to confirm the star’s involvement.

“I was working with Michael on the Dangerous album and he told me he was going to be doing the Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack for Sonic 3.

“He asked me if I would help him with it.”

Sound engineer Matt Forger added: “We were recording lots of beatboxing. Lots of Michael’s mouth percussion.

“He’d be laughing, joking, and that kind of infectious attitude would make the work not seem like work. Michael understood that this was for a game, he was in a really up mood whenever we’d be working.”
