Impressive deepfake shows what Liam Hemsworth would look like as The Witcher

Geralt of Rivia will look a little bit different in the upcoming fourth season of The Witcher.

We may not have access to his old casting tapes but some fan-made deepfakes are here to appease our inpatient minds. Time to see what Liam Hemsworth would look like as as Geralt, now that he's been confirmed as Henry Cavill's replacement. A Youtuber has recently uploaded a couple of videos on his channel with deepfake Hemsworth playing the main character of Netflix's The Witcher series One of the videos shows the very first encounter of Geralt with Stregobor, a wizard and a master illusionist, which happened in Season 1 Episode 1. The clip starts with a shot of Cavill, who is later changed to Hemsworth. However, the streaming service announced on Saturday (29 October) that a fourth season had been commissioned – but Hunger Games star Hemsworth would be taking over the role. In a statement issued by Netflix, Cavill said: “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season four. Hemsworth also reacted to the news in a statement, saying he was “over the moon” at the chance to play Geralt. “Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure,” said Hemsworth. “Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character.
