Here’s why Trading Places is a comedy masterpiece

Eddie Murphy turns 56 today and in a career that has spanned a plethora of hit films like Coming to America, Beverly Hills Cop, his famous stand-up comedy duo of Raw/Delirious and countless others- it's incredibly hard to choose his best work. This being said, there's no denying that the appeal of the superb Golden Globe-nominated comedy, Trading Places. Under the direction of John Landis, this is a piece of work that shows two superb comedians at the height of their powers, the whip-smart stylings of Murphy and Dan Aykroyd's penchant for sheer lunacy.
