Great news because Game of Thrones are looking for even more people to star in Season 8

Paul Moore

Know anyone that fits the billing?

The ravens have been flying all over the realm because, with the official list of directors announced for Season 8 of Game of Thrones, the Great War is approaching.

As previously reported, the producers are already looking to add new blood to the show – after all, they do have a tendency to kill off plenty of characters! – but with the Night King descending on Westeros, Jon Snow is going to need every new ally that he can get.

Without a doubt, the revered website Watchers on the Wall is the best source for all things related to Game of Thrones, and they’ve revealed details about some new roles that the producers are looking to fill.

If you happen to know a sassy and attractive girl, aged 18 – 25, then they could be the next Sansa Stark.

Described as a sexy and confident Northern girl, this actress will feature during one memorable scene, playing opposite the leading cast. This part is currently set to shoot the week commencing November 6th.

Know any ladies that fit this billing?

Given the fact that Cersei Lannister has reached out to The Golden Company in a bid to boost her numbers, it’s no surprise to see that the producers are also looking to cast a Mercenary, aged 35 – 50. Described as an authoritative, fit, cool and charismatic military type, this character will be appearing in 2 episodes of season 8. In order to play this role, the actor is required to ride a horse and rehearsals starts in October. Actual filming starts on December 11th, and then once again in May and June of 2018.

Fancy yourself as a Ser Jorah figure? You know, without the greyscale and unrequited love.

The next position that they’re looking to fill is that of a Northern farmer, aged 25 – 35. Described as a straightforward and honest man of simple tastes, the role is currently scheduled to start shooting on the week of November 17th.

If you get this role, just remember to give the Hound all of your chickens!

Regarding the remaining new characters in North, the final role that the producers are looking to fill is that of a Northern sentry, aged 18 – 25. A young Northern actor with great timing is the criterion for this part and they’ll also be acting in a small scene opposite the leading cast. This role is currently scheduled to shoot the first week of December.

Ae you ready to fight for the North against the army of the dead?

Given the fact that Jon Snow has announced his intentions to sail to White Harbour, we’re certain to see some naval scenes in Season 8. It’s also worth remembering that Euron Greyjoy is also on the open seas as he ferries The Golden Company to Westeros.

With this in mind, the producers are also looking for someone to play a Sailor, aged 35- 50. The role is described a rough-and ready sea-faring type with a weathered face and strong presence. Basically, Ser Davos but not as vital to the overall story of the show. This part is scheduled to shoot the week commencing December 11th.

Think you can deliver one-liners as good as The Onion Knight? Then again, maybe this actor is just required to go and catch some fermented crab?

The final roles that the Game of Thrones producers need filling are for two guards.

Guard #1 is in his 20’s, and is physically very fit, able to handle himself in any fight.

Guard #2 is in his 30’s. They’re looking for an actor that’s tall, and athletic with a military feel. The character is a professional clear-thinking guard who is dependable. The part has two days shooting on November 1st and 2nd but it’s in Spain. Interested in travelling abroad? Bueno!

If you’re cast in these roles, just try and be better than the two guards that tried to keep Arya out of Winterfell.

God, they were crap!
