Game of Thrones fans are all saying the same thing as the season finale title is revealed

Paul Moore

It’s the longest ever Game of Thrones episode.

In case you haven’t seen the most recent Game of Thrones episode, ‘Beyond the Wall,’ consider this to be your spoiler alert.

It’s a long boat ride from Eastwatch to King’s Landing and after seeing how Jon and Daenerys were getting closer, it could only mean one thing.

Death, destruction, war! After all, this is Game of Thrones. When do we ever get a happy ending?

This being said, we think that the two most famous Targaryens in Westeros will continue to get closer as they draw up their tactics ahead of those delicate negotiations with Cersei at the Dragonpit.

Right now, the relationship between aunt (Dany) and nephew (Jon) is getting quite heated as that final scene in the boat showed and Jon’s decision to bend the knee might lead to more than just “a successful military alliance” – to quote Tyrion.

Maybe all of Jon’s flirting in the cave paid off?

As revealed in the finale of Season 6, we knew that Jon Snow was the son of Lyanna Stark (Ned’s sister) and Rhaegar Targaryen (Dany’s older brother) – but with the revelation that Jon is the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne – if he discovers his true lineage, the relationship between the King in the North and the Mother of Dragons might be about to change.

With rumours of a certain character appearing, the final episode promises to delve deeper into the histories of House Stark and Targaryen.

With a running time of 79 minutes and 43 seconds, the season finale, The Dragon and the Wolf, is going to be the longest episode in the show’s history.

Plenty of people have already started speculating about what that title might represent.
