The first season released to critical acclaim
The first footage of season two of The Last of Us has been released by HBO.
On Sunday, the television company released a teaser of some its biggest shows on the way in 2024 and 2025.
The teaser was aired shortly before the season two finale of House of the Dragon, and gave viewers a glimpse at upcoming releases such as White Lotus Season 3, the Game of Thrones spinoff ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘ – and the second season of The Last of Us.
Other shows previewed in the two-minute teaser were The Batman spin-off series ‘The Penguin’; ‘Dune: Prophecy’, a prequel series to the Dune films; and ‘Welcome to Derry,’ a prequel series to the It horror movies.

In the Last of Us clip, we see the return of Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie and Gabriel Luna as Tommy.
The teaser also reveals new members of the cast, including Jeffrey Wright as Isaac and Catherine O’Hara in a mystery role.
The first season of The Last of Us was a huge success on its release in 2023. Adapted from the acclaimed 2013 video game, the series was a hit with critics and audiences alike.
It is expected that the second season will follow the events of the second game, The Last of Us Part II, which deals with the fallout from Joel’s actions at the end of season one.
The Last of Us Season 2 is scheduled to be arrive in 2025. An exact release date has not yet been confirmed.
