False alarm! One of the Spice Girls has said no to the reunion

Pump the brakes

We knew it was too good to be true.

When it comes to the Spice Girls reunion rumours, we always know to take them with a pinch of salt. Especially getting all five of them on board. The chances of that happening again are slim.

So, when we heard a few days ago that they were all reportedly getting back together we were surprised and delighted.

It was suggested that all five of the girls, including Victoria who is notoriously against a reunion, were on board.

The Sun led reports that they would reunite next year, for both a TV special and a new album.

A source told them:

“The five of them have been locked in secret talks since the summer, and finally they are all on-board for a 2018 reunion. As it stands, they will be working together on a series of projects, which will include an album and a TV special celebrating the Spice Girls.

“Getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion.”

But, alas, all wasn’t as it seemed. Victoria is actually not on board and has said a big NO to being a part of any such reunion. In fact, she wants nothing to do with any comeback.

A representative for the star told The Daily Mail.

“Victoria has loved her time with the Spice Girls but her future focus is firmly her family and fashion brand.

“The constant stories about Victoria taking part in alleged Spice Girls activity is nothing more than tabloid nonsense.”
