Eminem might not release any more music after he turns 50
The 49-year-old has just released his first single in over a year
Eminem's treated us to a brand new single this week, but according to previous comments he has made, we might not be able to expect too much more music from him.
The King and IĀ is the rapper's latest track, which will feature on Baz Luhrmann's Elvis movie coming out in June. ItĀ has already gained over 1 million views on Eminem's Instagram alone, and it is clear the 49-year-oldĀ rapper still has a huge fan base.
But comments he made in an earlier interview suggest he might not make any more music once he reaches 50-years-old.
Speaking to VIBE back when he was 37, Eminem said he wasn't sure "how much longer [he had] in [the] game."
He said: "Iām always going to love hip-hop. But how much longer am I going to still do it? I couldnāt really give you an answer. But the day that this is not better than the last will probably be the day I stop.

"See, Iām old school. The fans might say the shit is garbage. You donāt how long people are going to want you around . . . Realistically, if I donāt rap, what the f*ck am I going to do? Itās too late to just be unfamous right now at this point."
Eminem is going to be 50 years old this year and heās nominated for hall of fame and performing at the super bowl half time show. What an Incredible year for his career. His longevity is really amazing. A poor kid from Detroit with a dream accomplished so much.

The rapper joked that he "hope[s]" he doesn't need the money to have to keep going, but also mentioned how he really just wants to be "regular".
He said: "I donāt consider myself a star. Obviously, I know Iām a celebrity but I donāt look at myself in that light. Iām just me, man. Itās one of the reasons that I stay here [in Detroit].

"I donāt want the attention. I donāt like the attention. I donāt like all that shit. Yes, I love the respect and the admiration that some people show me but I donāt thrive off that whole thing."
Eminem will reach the big 5.0 on October 17 this year. Surely four months is more than enough time to squeeze in an album...right?
