Donald Trump’s Hollywood star destroyed with pickaxe

His star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been defaced a number of times

Nobody saw this coming

Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States of America and the key inspiration behind a large balloon, has had the devastating misfortune of his star on the Hollywood ‘Walk of Fame’ being absolutely destroyed by a man wielding a pickaxe.

There are over 2,600 stars placed along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street yet somehow Donald Trump’s is the one being repeatedly defaced.

It’s a mystery. It’s honestly a complete mystery as to why.

Jonathan Gonzalez, a reporter for NBC Los Angeles, indicates that a man carrying a guitar case with a pickaxe hidden inside vandalised the star before turning himself in to Beverly Hills Police.

Reports have suggested that the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, leaving very little of the plaque intact.

As you can see from the photographs, it was an extremely impressive display of strength and pickaxe control, completely carving out the star and name from the pavement and leaving just a hole of rubble, which, to be honest, seems a far more fitting epitaph.

The star, made out of pink stone, again not an easy thing to completely obliterate with a pickaxe, was only restored in 2016 after another incident in which it was damaged.

After the previous vandalism, the perpetrator claimed that he wanted to sell the star at an auction to raise money for a woman accusing Donald Trump of sexual assault.

It had originally been installed in 2007 following Trump’s period as host of the US version of The Apprentice, rather than for any actual tangible, real successes.
