Daniel Craig: “I don’t give a f**k if the next James Bond is black”

Everyone has an opinion on who should be the next James Bond, but there are few which actually matter.

One that is important, however, is Daniel Craig’s, and the current Bond has waded in on the race issue over who should play 007 next.

Idris Elba has been named as a favourite to take on the role, and Craig admitted he doesn’t “give a f***” if a black actor is cast and isn’t worried about who his successor is because he believes “the right person” will be chosen.

The English star said: “The right person should do the job, and I don’t give a f*** what colour their skin is. It shouldn’t be an issue.”

However, the actor isn’t so sure a female should play the secret service agent, although he hasn’t ruled it out.

Speaking to The Sun, he added: “[A female to play James Bond?] That’s another story. But why not? Jasmine Bond?”

Meanwhile, after previously hinting he was ready to quit the franchise after upcoming fil Spectre, Craig has now insisted he will make at least one more.

He said previously: “It’s getting harder. But such is life. I’ll keep going as long as I’m physically able. I’m contracted for one more – but I’m not going to make predictions.

“These movies don’t get made very often. It’s just the fourth time for me, a spit in the ocean. If you don’t get excited about making a movie of this size with this cast, with Sam Mendes… then go home.”
