CONFIRMED: Westlife reunion is happening

Don't even pretend you're not excited

Breathe. Just breathe.

When we said goodbye to the Westlife boys in 2012, we were all very worried that it’d be for good.

The band ended amid rumours of infighting and differing opinions and we wondered would we ever see the lads back together on stage again.

Thankfully, we have some hope – the band’s old manager Louis Walsh has said that a reunion is on the cards.

“A Westlife reunion is definitely going to happen – but I have no idea when,” he told RSVP.

“I’m still really good friends with all of the lads.”

Each of the band’s members has their own projects at the minute, however, so any new music or tour will have to come when the time is right.

“I was chatting to Mark Feehily last night about the Christmas album he’s bringing out, and its amazing. I’d forgotten how talented he is.

“I think the reunion will be great, but its up to them to decide when they will do it.”

Westlife formed in 1998 and stood up off their stools for the last time in 2012 during their Greatest Hits tour.

In their fourteen years together, the lads clocked up over 50 million record sales worldwide, toured the world and adorned the bedroom wall of every right-minded teenage girl.

For now, we’re dusting off our pink Stetsons and glow sticks and praying that this reunion happens sooner rather than later.
