Clear about 10 hours because the Lord of the Rings trilogy is now on Netflix
One marathon to rule them all
Remember, remember the first of November; a big day for fantasy film fans everywhere.
Following a not-all-that-cryptic tease from the Netflix UK & Ireland account last week...

...comes the news that everyone had managed to work out based on that first emoji.
That's right, the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy is now on Netflix.
No, not the extended editions with all the appendices and so on. You still need to go out and buy physical copies of those.
Hey, remember physical copies of movies? What a rush.
Anyway, here's what you're dealing with in case you've been living under a rock since the early 2000s:
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Original release: December 2001
Running time: 178 minutes
The plot in 10 words or less: Unique piece of jewellery causes problems.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Original release: December 2002
Running time: 179 minutes
The plot in 10 words or less: Unique piece of jewellery causes further problems.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Original release: December 2003
Running time: 200 minutes
The plot in 10 words or less: Yet further jewellery problems eventually trumped by about 15 endings.
So yeah, clear your schedule and do it all in one sitting, why not?
