Amir Khan definitely regrets posting this 2012 tweet
Oh dear

Ah the internet.

2012 Amir Khan would be very disappointed with 2017 Amir Khan.... Very disappointed indeed.

The professional boxer entered the jungle on Sunday evening as one of the contestants on the new series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

But, interestingly, he claimed that he'd never do such a thing just five short years ago.

During a Q&A session on Twitter in 2012, Khan told one of his followers in no uncertain terms that a stint on the reality show would not interest him.

Khan clearly has people looking after his social media while he's in the jungle, however, because once it was dredged back up on Sunday evening, the tweet was promptly deleted.

But, nothing is ever really deleted nowadays and several Twitter-users had already screenshot the post.

It emerged this weekend that Khan, who insists he's never seen the show before, will earn as much as ten times more than some of his campmates.

"I’m still a boxer, I’m training but there’s no fights on," Khan recently said, via the Mirror.

"So I thought, ‘I’ve got time to do this show, so why not?’

"I’m only going to be away from training and home a few weeks. I’ll use it as a detox at the same time.”
