Seth Rogen has revealed he once realised his home had been used to shoot a porn movie, whilst he was browsing through an adult movie site.
Speaking on the podcast
Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend, Rogen told the anecdote as the conversation got onto the topic of porn.
Rogen began the story, saying:
"In order for this to be relevant, I cannot speak enough to the obscurity of the porn site I was looking at at the time - like, this was not a top 20 site, I would say."
He carried on, saying: "I was looking at a page of thumbnails, and a house that I recently moved into has a pretty distinct water fountain in the front yard.
"And I noticed, amongst these dozens and dozens of thumbnails, what looked like the water fountain in my new front yard.
"And I clicked on the link and it very much was a porno movie that was filmed in the water fountain in my new front yard."
As the pair began to discuss whether this secret past is something that the house seller should have made to Rogen, he applied some very sound logic.
The comedian said: "At the end of the day, ultimately, any house that you've lived in... People have fucked in it."
Good point, well made.
He continued: "Unless you built it, someone has fucked in that house. Someone has fucked in your house. Someone has fucked in all your houses!"
Wherever you're reading this, I'll just let that thought sit with you for a second.
Rogen estimated that LA residents had a "30-40 percent chance" that their house had previously been used to film porn, and that his suspicions were confirmed when he spoke to a neighbour about the house.
He said: "I met someone I know who lives in the
neighbourhood I moved into, and they were like, 'Oh, you moved into
that house, huh?' And I was like, 'What does that mean? What is it, a murder house, or...?'
"And then he was like, 'No! It's a porn house!'
"And I was like, 'Oh no! I've moved into the porn house?! I guess I did.'"
It takes more than that to put Seth off though, and he still lives in the house to this day, describing it as "very erotic."
