For those people, the biggest day of the year came last night with the release of the demo for FIFA 17.

It took so long that some people were even forced to watch real, live football, with humans whose activity they couldn't control.
But at least Manchester City were kind enough to get their game postponed so fans could play with their table-topping squad on the demo.

After
playing a version of the game ahead of the demo release, we couldn't help but notice how much smoother it was and how much of a difference the new Frostbite game engine was making.
Oh, and there's
a new juiced-up career mode to contend with once the full game drops in the UK on September 29 - not to mention 'the journey', of course.
