Stars across the wrestling world have paid tribute to the late AEW wrestling star Brodie Lee, who was also known as Luke Harper in WWE.

The death of Brodie Lee, real name Jonathan Huber, was confirmed in an Instagram post from his wife on December 26th.

Huber died of non-Covide related lung issues.

Fellow AEW star and wrestling legend Chris Jericho paid tribute to Huber, calling him “a wonderful man and a kickass worker” and sharing a photo from backstage at a 2015 event in Mexico.

“Backstage in Mexico in 2015. Brodie was annoyed that he didn’t have his own merch t-shirt, so one of the brothers got a bunch made in his honor. We all wore them in tribute to the dude, cause everybody loved him,” wrote Jericho on Instagram.

“Just a wonderful man and a kickass worker….we never had a bad match and I probably worked with him 50 times. I was a big fan of his and even helped bring him into @allelitewrestling…where he did the best work of his career in a very short time.”

“I’m gonna try to find that goofy fuckkn shirt and if I do, I’m going to hang it on my wall so I can be reminded daily what a legit great person looks like. Thanks Jon…you were one in a million and a true brother’s brother.”

Prior to joining AEW, Huber wrestled in WWE as Luke Harper, part of the Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt also penned an emotional tribute to his former colleague, calling him an “incredible man”.

WWE star AJ Styles also shared a photo of him with Brodie Lee in tribute.

In a statement on social media, AEW saided they “were privileged… to call Jon Huber a brother, a friend and one of our won.”
